Competition events

NRL Colorado schedules its Competition in the Spring every year.

The NRL Colorado Competition is April 11, 2026!

Location:

Mesa Ridge High School, 6070 Mesa Ridge Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80911

Times:

  • Doors open at 7am
  • Inspections from 7:30am – 9am
  • Competition matches: 9:15am – 4pm
  • Lunch from 12pm – 12:30pm
  • Awards presentation: 4pm

Each team will receive 1 pizza (either pepperoni or cheese). Teams should bring snacks, drinks, and additional lunch for larger teams.

The National Robotics League Colorado offers a great opportunity for high school students to learn about robotics and engineering while exposing them to manufacturing, engineering, or industrial careers.

Join us on April 11, 2026 for the NRL Colorado Competition. This intense battle is between two, student-built 15- pound robots in a large arena!

Watch as teams from across Colorado battle it out with the help of local machine shops who helped them to engineer and build their bot for this tough fight against other student teams.

This is an event you won’t want to miss – come see what the next generation of engineers has in store and watch sparks fly!

Support the NRL Competition

The NRL Colorado Robotics League is shaping the next generation of engineers, innovators, and problem solvers through hands-on STEM education. We are bringing together talented students from 6 school districts (14+ teams!) and offering them a platform to showcase their skills in robotics and advanced manufacturing.

By supporting this event, your organization will gain valuable exposure while directly investing in the future workforce. Your support ensures that students have the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to develop critical STEM skills that drive industry innovation. Supporting NRL Colorado isn’t just an investment in an event—it’s an investment in the future. Let’s work together to inspire young minds, strengthen the manufacturing pipeline, and support STEM education.

Seeking Volunteers

We are in need of volunteers to help with set-up (on Friday, April 10) and the day of the event. We’re using SignUpGenius to manage volunteer roles. Please click below to sign up as a volunteer. Please feel free to share this email with others who may be interested in helping us out.

We Are Selling Shirts to Support NRL Colorado!

All proceeds will go to NRL Colorado (a 501(C)(3) charitable nonprofit). Your support will help secure the future of manufacturing in Colorado and help build a skilled, enthusiastic, and an adaptable employee pipeline. With your support, we can bridge the gap between in-school training and real-world experience for manufacturing companies.
